Meet "Blackle" a Googlish page without the white background.
The idea behind it is this: A black page uses less energy to load then a page existing of white pixels.
So with it's millions of hits each day, Google would save thousands of dollars.
That's why there's now Blackle.
There's no easier way to contribute to a healthier environment then using Blackle as your starting page.

Het idee achter Blackle.
Een zwarte pagina kost minder energie om te laden dan een pagina bestaande uit witte pixels. Met miljoenen hits per dag zou Google duizenden dollars besparen, vandaar deze zwarte variant.
Er is geen makkelijkere manier om een steentje bij te dragen aan het milieu, zet daarom Blackle als je startpagina!
